SLOW DOWN!!!

"Go faster daddy! Go faster (face is all chubby)!! Slow down daddy! Slow down (face gets all slicked back)!!"

This is a little thing my best friend Chelsea, my brother Garrett, any myself use to do when we were younger. At the time it was something silly and fun to do, but now I think of it in a totally different way! When I think of this saying now, I think about how at the beggining of this year I couldn't wait for it to be over! I thought about how much fun it would be to be out of the house and on my own. But now I am the little kid yelling, "Slow down daddy! Slow down!" Life is going to be changing here before I know it. And I'm not going to lie, that scares me a little bit! While yes going out and having new experience sounds fun, but all the responsibility that comes a long with it . . . well that part isn't quite as fun. If you think about it you have to pay the bills all by yourself (there isn't the parents there to do it), you have have money to buy your own food so you won't starve, plus you have to have money also to get "sanatary" needs! And the list goes on! All of this can seem a little over welming! At least it is to me right now considering how there are only a few months until I graduate!

While it is scary to think about going out on my own, especially since I will be at least 8 hours away from home depending on which school I decide to go to, I am still excited! This is coming up in the time in my life where I will get to experience new things, have fun adventures, and let my true colors shine! I look forward to that. I guess I have learned that I over think things to much and sych myself out. But at least I know that about myself so I can change it :) With these last few months left in high school I'm going to not think about what will be happening in my life in 5 months, I am just going to worry about having a BLAST and making the most out of every moment!

Advice to those youngsters out there . . . it goes by super fast, so make the best of it! And let nothing pass you by :)

Choir fun! :)

Choir. . . choir . . . choir . . .  :)
I'm not going to lie, choir kids can be some of the weirdest kids you will ever meet in your life, but they can also be some of the coolest as well! One thing is for sure is that us choir kids sure know how to have fun and make the best out of the simple things! Even when people can't spell your name right at Starbucks :) ------------------------->

This past weekend the Jazz Choir went to the Jazz Madrigal Festival in Flagstaff. And like most choir trips, it was a blast! It all started at six in the morning. Early Right! I know! Anyways, we all piled into SUV's and instead of sleeping like I had planned to do, we ended up talking and laughing the whole way! Which don't get me wrong was a blast, but those who know me, know I am not a morning person in any form! To make a long story short (because I could go on, and on, and on about it) me Randall and Chelsea made the best of it! After all, it is our senior year so why not! It's not like we really care what people think of us anymore, because that stage is gone once you hit the first day of senior year (Unlike when you are freshman and you think you have to try and impress everyone so you can be "popular" and "cool". Which believe me is DUMB and POINTLESS!!!).

I have come to a point in my life where I have decided that I am just going to be myself and have fun! I don't want to be one of those people where 50 years down the road you look back at your high school years and wished you had done more or been more outgoing. I'm going to leave it all here and have the most fun I can! Choir to some may seem like a waste. Which I will be honest, at times I wonder, "Why am I doing choir? It's nothing but drama and no fun!" but it's times like this past Friday that make you enjoy it and love being a part of it!

A night in history :)

Have you ever been in the situation where you really want to do something, but you’re just too lazy to do it? I am often found guilty of this. There are many times in my life that I have had a great idea  then end up forgetting about it or just too lazy to do it and end up moving on.  This blog is one of those things for me. I started saying around Christmas time that I thought it would be a good idea to start my own blog about things that are going on in my life. That way when I go to college next fall, my family and friends can be in the loop with what has been going on in my life and know about all the fun things I have experienced or done.  But as you can see, it’s not Christmas time anymore and the blog is just barely starting! I guess you can say I have had a hard time motivating myself when it comes to certain things. And  to be honest, I probably wouldn’t have gotten around to starting this blog except for the fact that we got an assignment in my Senior AP English class to start a blog and post on it once a week. So here is my attempt at a blog about what is going on in my AMAZING life! So here we go with story number one.
This past Friday was a day that will be locked in my memory for a long time! There is nothing quite like making great memories with friends! So here is how it all went down. Randall came into Mrs. Campbell’s class 5th hour to steal me away (He needed help moving T-shirts from the baseball concessions to Mr. Longs room and since I had nothing better to do he decided to get my help in doing this). While caring this huge box of shirts - well it wasn’t that big; it just sounds better to say that J- we decided we were going to go together to the basketball game in Winslow. This game was huge! And needless to say, everyone was going so we had to go!
We left town around 4:45pm and could hardly hold in our excitement! To think that if we won this game we would not only be region champs, but also be ranked number one in the State was awesome! We talked the whole way there about how intense this game was going to be and that as long as it was a good game we didn’t care what really happened. So we finally arrived at Winslow’s gym and I’m not going to lie, we were a little scared of getting jumped or something! When the game started the fans were insane! We cheered so much that are throats were killing us, but we didn’t care! We won that game 61 to 58! It was so awesome! After the game me and Randall decided to go get something to eat at Sonic. Which probably wasn’t the smartest idea considering that practically the whole town of Winslow was there, we were from Holbrook, and Holbrook had just beaten them.  It took us close to 40 minutes to get our food!  While we were waiting we were singing our lungs out and just having a good time! We finally get our food and it was cold (lame sauce!)!  But we didn’t care enough to do anything about it and ate it anyways. When we decided to leave, Randall’s car wouldn’t start. Luckily Sierra was there and could jump start us (which that was an experience in itself!). We finally got home just after 11pm. With everything that had happened that night, I still get excited just thinking about it! And that is why that is one night I will NEVER forget!
